Reaction conditions:
The reaction will take place under room conditions, without specific temperature or pressure requirements. The solid should be thoroughly mixed to increase the contact between the elements. -
Reaction process:
- Iron reacts with copper sulfate, iron will replace copper in its compound to form iron (III) sulfate and solid copper.
- Initially, copper sulfate appears as a green or pink solid if it is in solution form. When iron is added, it will react with copper sulfate and ultimately form yellow-orange iron (III) sulfate and red pure copper.

Phenomena occur:
- When iron is reacted with copper sulfate solution, the blue color of the copper sulfate solution gradually disappears, replaced by the reddish-brown color of copper precipitating in solid form. Copper does not dissolve in the solution.
- Iron will disappear from the solution after the reaction.
