What is N2H10? Important knowledge about N2H10

Hello students, today we will learn about a chemical substance named N2H10.

  1. N2H10 is the chemical formula of a substance commonly known as Hydrogen diazide, or also known in English as Hydrazoic acid. Each N2H10 molecule consists of 2 Nitrogen (N) atoms and 10 Hydrogen (H) atoms.

1.2. The total atomic mass in each N2H10 molecule is 30.032 g/mol, of which the atomic mass of Nitrogen is 14.007 g/mol and the atomic mass of Hydrogen is 1.00794 g/mol.

1.3. The structure of N2H10 molecule consists of 2 Nitrogen atoms bonded together through a double bond, and each Nitrogen atom is bonded to 5 Hydrogen atoms through single bonds.

1.4. In terms of ionic structure, N2H10 can form N2H10+ or N2H10- ions through the process of accepting or donating electrons.

2.1. In terms of physical properties, N2H10 is a colorless liquid with a distinctive smell. Its PH level also varies depending on environmental conditions.

2.2. The chemical properties of N2H10 are quite complex and depend on the reaction conditions. We will delve deeper into this property in later lessons.

  1. The common chemical equations of N2H10 include reactions with Metals, acids, non-metals and salts. Each type of reaction will have specific examples that we will explore together.

  2. The synthesis of N2H10 can be conducted in the laboratory or on an industrial scale. The synthesis process will consist of several steps and require understanding of chemistry. We will delve deeper into the synthesis of N2H10 in later lessons.
