This equation describes the reaction between Barium sulfate (BaSO4) and Potassium hydroxide (KOH) to form Potassium sulfate (K2SO4) and Barium hydroxide (Ba(OH)2). However, this equation is not yet balanced.
- Reaction Conditions
BaSO4 and KOH must be dissolved in water and have sufficient temperature to promote the reaction.
- Reaction Process
When BaSO4 and KOH are dissolved in water and have enough heat, they will react to form K2SO4 and Ba(OH)2.
- Phenomenon Occurrence
The change of the liquid from colorless to cloudy white can be observed when the reaction occurs, and heat will simultaneously be released.
