Detailed information about the Zn + 2Na4SiO4 -> ZnSiO4 + 8Nareaction:
-
Reaction conditions:
- This reaction requires high temperature and pressure to occur.
-
Reaction process:
- Zinc and Sodium silicate are mixed together in a sealed container, then heated at a high temperature.
- Under the influence of heat, Zinc will react with Sodium silicate to produce Zinc silicate and Sodium.
-
Phenomena that occur:
- During the reaction process, the initial mixture will gradually turn white due to the formation of Zinc silicate.
- When the reaction is complete, we will see the appearance of Sodium in vapor form. The Sodium is then recovered by cooling.
